Light The Way Night of Worship is almost here, and we seriously cannot wait to gather together in the heart of Downtown Chesterton for an unforgettable night of worship, community, encouragement, and connection. This amazing night of worship will, of course, have live worship bands along with food trucks, bounce houses, children’s activities, and booths from ministries across the region, which we are one of!
We’re honored to be a part of this powerful night, bringing churches, families, ministries, and the community together under the name of Jesus Christ. You can come to the Yahweh Army booth for prayer, encouragement, community connections, faith resources, friendly conversations, support, and hope.
This is more than an event; it’s a chance to encounter God, worship together, and stand united as the body of Christ.
Whether you come full of faith, exhausted from life, searching for hope, or just curious about God, you belong! Just remember to bring your bug spray and lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy the night to its fullest.
Come ready. Come expectant. Come worship.
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105
Following a series of powerful tornadoes that tore through parts of Indiana and Illinois on Tuesday night, Yahweh Army has mobilized disaster relief efforts to assist communities facing significant damage and disruption. Homes, businesses, and neighborhoods across the region were impacted as the storms moved through, leaving behind debris, structural damage, and many families beginning the difficult process of recovery.
In response, Yahweh Army teams have been working around the clock to support affected residents. Volunteers are assisting with debris removal, property cleanup, and other immediate recovery needs to help families take the first steps toward rebuilding. These early efforts are focused on restoring safety to properties, clearing hazardous materials, and helping residents regain a sense of stability after the storm.
Disaster response teams from outside the region are also arriving to lend their support, bringing additional manpower and resources to the cleanup effort. As these teams serve the community, Yahweh Army is partnering with local supporters to help provide meals and encouragement to the volunteers who are dedicating long days to recovery work.
Community involvement will play an important role in the success of these efforts. Individuals who are willing to volunteer their time are encouraged to join the response teams in assisting with cleanup and debris removal. Churches, local organizations, and community groups can also support the mission by helping provide meals for the out-of-state volunteers serving on the ground.
Yahweh Army is also actively accepting requests from residents who were affected by the tornadoes and need help with cleanup or recovery work. Those in need of assistance are encouraged to submit an application so response teams can be scheduled to come alongside them as quickly as possible.
Moments like these remind us how important it is for communities to come together in service and compassion. Yahweh Army remains committed to walking alongside our neighbors during this difficult time and helping restore hope in the aftermath of the storm.
Further updates about volunteer opportunities, meal support, and response locations will continue to be shared through Yahweh Army’s Facebook page as the relief efforts move forward.

Every month on the third Saturday, Yahweh Army gathers in Valparaiso, Indiana with one mission: to share the love of Jesus in both word and deed. We come together to serve our community, especially those facing some of life’s toughest challenges such as homelessness, addiction, financial hardship, or loneliness. But our table is open to everyone, no questions asked. Every person we meet is a neighbor created in the image of God and worthy of dignity, hope, and fellowship.
At each outreach we serve a full meal, worship, hand out clothes and other necessities, and offer prayer and encouragement to anyone who joins us. This isn’t just about filling stomachs, it’s about feeding souls, meeting needs both physical and spiritual, and reminding people that they are seen, loved, and not forgotten by God.
Because our outreach location may change, we encourage everyone to check our Facebook page as the event approaches for the exact location and details. Wherever we gather, our mission remains the same: to love our neighbors and make the hope of Jesus known in Valparaiso.
Here’s how you can be part of this powerful outreach:
Volunteer: Serve food, pray with someone, help set up, or just share a smile. We need willing hearts and helping hands.
Sponsor: Cover the cost of meals, supplies, or music. Your sponsorship makes the event possible and spreads hope even further.
Donate: Whether it’s $5 or $500, every bit helps us bring practical help and the gospel to our community.
Shop Our Wishlist: Pick out needed items directly from our Amazon Wishlist. Every purchase—big or small—helps us equip our outreach with the supplies that bless lives physically and spiritually.

Through these efforts, we were able to bring practical support and encouragement to communities continuing their long road to recovery.
Operation Mountain Presence 2

In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, many families in East Tennessee and Western North Carolina were still recovering as the Christmas season approached. Through these acts of generosity, we were able to deliver not only gifts, but also encouragement, prayer, and the love of Jesus, reminding each family that they had not been forgotten during a difficult season.
The missions shared above represent just a portion of the work that Yahweh Army has been blessed to carry out. Each outreach, relief effort, and act of service reflects the compassion of volunteers and supporters who believe in standing beside those facing hardship. Whether responding to natural disasters, serving meals in our communities, or helping individuals begin new chapters in their lives, these moments are reminders that even simple acts of kindness can have a lasting impact.
None of this work would be possible without the generosity, prayers, and dedication of people who choose to support the mission. If you feel called to be part of what Yahweh Army is doing, we invite you to join us. Your donations help provide meals, supplies, and emergency assistance, while volunteers make it possible to reach more people in need. Thank you for walking alongside us and helping bring hope, help, and encouragement to communities near and far.
